Welcome to Serenity Somatic Therapy
Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Diana, a somatic psychotherapist dedicated to supporting neurodivergent (ND) individuals and specializing in trauma integration. It’s an honor to embark on this journey of recovery and growth with you.
In our first meeting, I often start by asking, “What brings you into therapy?” This simple question opens the door to understanding your unique experiences, challenges, and hopes. Whether you’re seeking support for neurodivergence, exploring trauma recovery, or seeking guidance in navigating life’s complexities, I’m here to offer a safe and compassionate space.
My Approach
I integrate various therapeutic techniques to tailor our sessions to your individual needs. My practice focuses on:
Mindfulness: The practice of maintaining a non-judgmental awareness of one's thoughts, emotions, and experiences in the present moment.
Psychoeducation: Understanding the mind-body connection and cultivating present-moment awareness.
Somatic Therapy: Exploring how trauma and emotions are stored in the body and using body-based techniques to release and integrate them.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A powerful method to process and integrate traumatic memories and reduce their emotional impact.
Supporting Neurodivergence and Trauma Integration
Neurodivergent individuals often face unique challenges and strengths that are frequently misunderstood or overlooked. By focusing on both neurodivergence and trauma integration, we can address the full spectrum of your experiences, fostering resilience and self-acceptance. My goal is to support you in embracing your identity and finding balance in your life.
